Nausea, bloating and vomiting are unfortunately common symptoms of pregnancy that are often caused by hormonal changes, especially during the first trimester. Nutrition is really the key to combating nausea in pregnancy.
Lily Nichols is a Registered Dietician who has written Real Food for Pregnancy, which is an excellent resource for pregnancy. She also has a blog with a lot of valuable information. Another great resource is her book Real Food for Gestational Diabetes if you had GDM in a previous pregnancy.

Quick Tips to Help:
- Have some nuts or protein snacks beside your bed to eat as soon as you wake up.
- Drink 2-3 litres of water a day. Filtered water may taste better and electrolytes will help you absorb the water.
- Eat every 2-3 hours with a source of protein and good fat in each snack/ meal.
